Georgette Jones states that she's been "on a long journey of musical discovery" and is ready to take some action. Jones will be going the Indiegogo route. For those of you who do not know what Indiegogo is, it's a crowdfunding website where you are able to launch your own campaign to raise money, while giving out special gifts depending on the amount donated. Jones says there will be special "perks" for anyone who signs up.
Dean Miller, the son of the legendary Roger Miller, will be producing Jones' new project. He's a country singer and songwriter and has penned songs for both Trace Adkins and Terri Clark. Jones seems extremely excited to have the opportunity to work with Miller, saying, "I think my parents and his Dad are smiling down on us knowing that we are working together!"
Dreams are coming true for Jones. She talks about just how ecstatic she is to be making a CD in Nashville with musicians that she's admired and looked up to for most of her life.
Congratulations, Georgette! We couldn't be happier to hear about this new development. George and Tammy are surely smiling down on her, filled with pride, just as her father did when they performed "Daddy Come Home" together years ago.
