Darius Rucker's annual 'Darius & Friends' charity benefit welcomed a surprise visitor.....
For the last six years, Rucker has held an event every summer dedicated to raising money for St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Held at Nashville's Wildhorse Saloon, the fundraiser always features various artists performing, but back in 2010, Kid Rock made an unannounced appearance.
That year, Rucker's charity concert series welcomed names such as Jake Owen, Randy Houser, and Jamey Johnson to the stage. In the middle of the performances, a sneaky Kid Rock appeared and stirred up some fun! Singing the Hank Williams Jr. hit "Family Tradition", a ton of artists joined him on stage including Rucker himself.
This amazing collaboration caught on video shows just how much fun country folk can have raising money for a great cause. Since this 2010 event, the concert series has raised over $439,000 for St. Jude's.
