Y'all are about to see Sadie and Korie Robertson like you've never seen them before.
On April 20, 1999, tragedy struck in the small town of Littleton, CO. Two gunmen entered their high school, and opened fire on students and faculty. Less than an hour after they began shooting, the gunmen had taken the lives of twelve students and one teacher.
The first victim that fateful day was Rachel Joy Scott. Rachel was targeted because of her faith and strong belief in God. In her last moments, her friend who survived, recalled one gunman asking if she still believed in God, she replied, "Yes" and her life was taken.
Exactly seventeen years after that horrible day, Rachel's life will be remembered and honored through the movie I'm Not Ashamed: The Rachel Joy Scott Story.
When casting began for the movie, one particular family had great interest in honoring Rachel's story: the Robertsons.
Due to their strong faith, the family wanted to be a part of her story. In the move, Sadie and her sister, Bella, will play Rachel's cousins, while their mother Korie, will play Rachel's aunt.
Below, the movie's Instagram account (@imnotashamedfilm) posted a touching photo of the Robertson women with Rachel's mother.
The movie's Instagram also posted Sadie at a "Live Original" event in Nashville, while she stood at the I'm Not Ashamed booth.
Seeing the Robertson honor Rachel is so inspiring. It is so powerful to see Sadie and Korie stand up for what they believe in.
