In 2007, country icon Miranda Lambert and her mother, Bev Lambert, joined forces to help animals in need across the country.
Since then, the Lambert ladies have raised over $2.1 million dollars for animals in need. Wow!
This past weekend was the organization's 8th annual Cause for the Paws. An event where Miranda was able to combine her two favorite things: animals and country music.
The event was held in Miranda's home state of Texas, and with the help of some famous friends, Miranda rocked out and raised money for animals in need. She even posted the adorable picture below to her Instagram, captioning it, "Making music tonight with my friends."
Miranda performed some of her greatest hits for the crowd, including "Mama's Broken Heart" and "Automatic." She even brought two little cowgirls on stage to sing along (click here to see the performance!).
According to PEOPLE, Miranda's mother Bev, said, "Nothing makes Miranda and [me] more happy and fulfilled than seeing a rescue dog in the arms of a loving family."
Like mother like daughter!
In the video below, Miranda and her mother talk about the foundation and what it means to them. Check it out!
