Country music artists have proved time and time again that they have incredibly kind hearts.
The annual Country Cares event for St. Jude was co-founded by country music legend Randy Owen 26 years ago to help young cancer patients.
This year the Grand Ole Opry served as the setting for the the Country Cares benefit, which was part of the Opry's "Cause For Applause" event, spanning throughout the month of September. All proceeds from Country Cares were donated to St. Jude.
The show featured performances by many fan-favorites , including the Del McCoury Band, Martina McBride, and Owen himself.
But the true guests of honor were three St. Jude patients, who joined the superstars on stage to tell their stories. One little girl named Ally Cameron even had the opportunity to help host the event.
Ally, who likes going to the beach with her family and playing tennis, takes to the famous Opry stage to introduce herself. She appears a little nervous, but still has a smile on her face the whole time she's on stage. She even works some humor into her introduction, joking that she likes to party, which of course earned her a lot of laughs from the crowd.
Ally's family put together a video featuring her entrance on stage along with pictures from her experiences behind the scenes. The picture slideshow is set to Alabama's song "Angels Among Us," adding to the already emotional tone of the video.
Ally had the chance to meet many of the artists that participated in the event, and enjoyed time in her very own dressing room.
At the end of the video, Ally's family issues their thanks to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital and the Opry:
"Thank you to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital for all that you've done for our family and our wonderful time at the Grand Ole Opry. We literally wouldn't have been here without you! Thank you to the Grand Ole Opry! We couldn't have been treated better!"
After watching this video, it's clear that Ally's day at the Grand Ole' Opry will be one she and her family will treasure forever.
