Hank Williams Sr. and his wife Audrey were one of country music's original power couples.
Audrey was very much a part of Hank's short, 16-year career, serving as his manager for ten of those years. The two of them were married on December 15, 1944 and had their first and only child in 1949, a son named Randall Hank, who would go on to become a famous country singer himself as Hank Williams Jr.
Hank and Audrey's marriage always had its troubles, and the couple eventually divorced in 1952.
But prior to separating, the couple often sang together, as they did in this recording of "Jesus Remembered Me."
"Jesus Remembered Me" was released in 1998 on Hank's posthumous album The Complete Hank Williams. The album is a collection of almost all known recorded works produced by Williams over the course of his career. In total, the album contains 225 tracks, which include studio recordings, live performances, and even demo tracks.
Although it seems that no one could ever out-shine Hank in a performance, Audrey actually manages to do so in their duet, with her voice rising above his.
Hank and and Audrey's "Jesus Remembered Me" is an upbeat and uplifting tune with that old-time, classic country feel that so many people love.
