We can never be too sure what is going to come out of Blake Shelton's mouth. He's definitely good at keeping us on our toes... especially when he's in that big red chair.

Recently, NBC premiered the 9th season of the hit show, The Voice. The season begins with blind auditions where hopeful contestants take the stage and give their all to impress the four judges.

One particularly amazing audition was that of Manny Cabo, who belted out Whitesnake's 1987 hit song, "Here I Go Again". The performance was so fantastic that Manny got all four judges to turn around and say, "I want you".

And that's where it got interesting...

After Manny ended his performance, the judges each had a chance to tell him why he should pick their team. A desperate Blake so badly wanted Manny on his team that he told him, "I may not seem like the obvious choice for you, I'm a country artist, but I will say this, I don't trust grown men who roll up their jeans."

Jean-rollers Pharrell Williams and Adam Levine were shocked at Blake's plea to get Manny on Team Blake. Pharrell turned to Blake and said, "This is what we're doing?!"

Blake then admitted,  "I'm desperate, I just want to point that out to you.

We're sure Pharrell and Adam understand, it's a competition after all!

LYRICS BELOW

I don't know where I'm going
But, I sure know where I've been
Hanging on the promises
In songs of yesterday
An' I've made up my mind,
I ain't wasting no more time
But, here I go again
Here I go again

Tho' I keep searching for an answer,
I never seem to find what I'm looking for
Oh Lord, I pray
You give me strength to carry on,
'Cause I know what it means
To walk along the lonely street of dreams

An' here I go again on my own
Goin' down the only road I've ever known,
Like a hobo I was born to walk alone
An' I've made up my mind
I ain't wasting no more time

I'm just another heart in need of rescue,
Waiting on love's sweet charity
An' I'm gonna hold on
For the rest of my days,
'Cause I know what it means
To walk along the lonely street of dreams

An' here I go again on my own
Goin' down the only road I've ever known,
Like a hobo I was born to walk alone
An' I've made up my mind
I ain't wasting no more time

But, here I go again,
Here I go again,
Here I go again,
Here I go...

An' I've made up my mind,
I ain't wasting no more time

An' here I go again on my own
Goin' down the only road I've ever known,
Like a hobo I was born to walk alone
'Cause I know what it means
To walk along the lonely street of dreams

An' here I go again on my own
Goin' down the only road I've ever known,
Like a hobo I was born to walk alone
An' I've made up my mind
I ain't wasting no more time...

But, here I go again,
Here I go again,
Here I go again,
Here I go,
Here I go again...
