Sometimes the coaches on The Voice hear voices worth fighting for, and Morgan Frazier definitely has such a voice.
Frazier has been singing country songs for as long as she can remember. She started playing country music professionally at the age of nine, when she recorded an album and sold 30,000 copies just from going door-to-door.
When she was 16,Frazier decided to move to Nashville to pursue a career in country music. Before appearing on The Voice, she had been performing at the famous Tootsie Orchid Lounge.
For her blind audition, Frazier decided to sing the Cheap Trick song "I Want You to Want Me." Although "I Want You to Want Me" was originally a rock song, Frazier decides to switch it up for her blind audition, making it so country that it is almost a whole new song.
Playing her acoustic guitar, Frazier's sweet voice instantly impresses coach Gwen Stefani, who was the first coach to turn for her. Stefani is so moved by Frazier's talent that she tears up while listening to her sing.
For a while, it seems like Stefani is the only coach that is going to turn around for Frazier. But at the last minute, Blake Shelton decides to turn around, sending Stefani into a fit of despair.
Stefani desperately tries to hold on to Frazier, walking up on stage and telling her that going with Shelton is a bad idea. "Don't listen to him," Stefani said, "he's going to try to seduce you."
Adam Levine, who always loves teasing Shelton, criticizes him for turning around at the last possible moment "Blake you are a shameless and heartless man," he said.
Shelton, always the one to get in the last word, made one final plea to Frazier, "Come on Morgan, come home."
Ultimately, Frazier said that she had to go with her gut, and her gut told her to "come home."
Frazier is one of the latest additions to Team Blake!
As the blind auditions continue, Shelton keeps increasing the strength of his team with talented singers like Frazier.
We look forward to hearing Frazier give a country twist to hits from other genres in the future!
