Bindi Irwin continues to win over the Dancing with the Stars judges and the nation with her talent and drive to succeed.
Bindi and her partner, Derek Hough, faced several challenges this past week when putting together their quickstep.
The theme for week three of the competition was based on TV show themes, so Derek originally selected the theme song from The Jetsons for the pair to dance to. But Dancing with the Stars couldn't get the royalties to the theme in time for Monday's performance.
So at the last minute, Derek chose their backup song "Moving On Up" from The Jeffersons, and constructed a new routine in just two days.
In addition to all of the song troubles, Bindi also injured her foot this week. But according to how well she danced her quickstep, no one could even tell.
"It'll be totally fine. It's just a little bit sore," Bindi said to reporters backstage.
Bindi and Derek bounce around the dance floor in a high-energy performance that has the crowd standing up and clapping along.
Bindi ended up earning a score of 32 out of 40 for her dance, which was not the highest score of the night, but is still impressive considering her injury and the other challenges she had to overcome before performing this week.
Marla Gibbs, who played the Jefferson's maid Florence Johnston on The Jeffersons, was in the crowd that night, and she was also impressed by Bindi's performance.
"They were fantastic!" Gibbs said.
We have to agree with Gibbs. After everything she went through this week, Bindi still managed to put on a show-stopping performance, and that in itself is worthy of praise.
