After eighteen years of marriage, there's no surprise that Marty Stuart and his wife Connie Smith have undeniable chemistry.

The two country legends proved this fact, once again, when they performed a song by Smith's favorite singer, Loretta Lynn. They sang the beginning lyrics of "After The Fire Is Gone", and the crowd applauded, knowing they were in for a treat!

And boy, were they! The married couple took turns singing solo, then harmonizing beautifully together.

"After The Fire Is Gone" was originally recorded by Lynn and Conway Twitty in 1971 off the duo's album We Only Make Believe. The song was the first Number One song for Lynn and Twitty as a duo; they had both previously hit the top slot as solo artists.

At this special performance at The grand Ole Opry, Stuart and Smith couldn't keep their eyes off each other! After 18+ years together, they still can't get enough! They look more in love than ever before!

Watch the amazing performance below!

Lyrics Below

Love is where you find it
When you find no love at home
And there's nothin' cold as ashes
After the fire is gone

The bottle is almost empty
The clock just now struck ten
Darlin' I had to call you
To our favorite place again

We know it's wrong for us to meet
But the fire's gone out at home
And there's nothin' cold as ashes
After the fire is gone

Love is where you find it
When you find no love at home
And there's nothin' cold as ashes
After the fire is gone

Your lips are warm and tender
Your arms hold me just right
Sweet words of love you remember
That the one at home forgot

Each time we say is the last time
But we keep hangin' on
And there's nothin' cold as ashes
After the fire is gone

Love is where you find it
When you find no love at home
And there's nothin' cold as ashes
After the fire is gone
