Strait and Womack have paired up for a few songs, including the emotional ballad "Good News, Bad News."
"Good News, Bad News," was released in 2005 on Strait's album Somewhere Down In Texas. Womack actually co-wrote the song, along with writers Dean Dillon and Dale Dodson.
In 2005, the CMA selected Strait and Womack's performance of "Good News, Bad News" as the musical event of the year.
The lyrics tell the story of a man who has good news...he realized that he missed his lover while they were apart, and he wants to get back together.
But the girl then chimes in and says that she has some bad news...she's found someone new.
You can hear the pain in Strait and Womack's voices as they sing, which adds a whole new level of sadness to the already heartbreaking song.
Despite the sad nature of the song, it is beautiful to listen to, with Strait's and Womack's classic country voices serving as perfect complements to one another.

I've got some good news, can't wait to tell you.
I realized I missed you, since we've been apart.
I just needed time,
To make up my mind,
But I'm in love with you with all my heart.
I've got some good news.
I got some bad news, I don't know how to break to you.
I found someone new since we been apart.
I had too much time,
An' he took you off my mind,
An' I'm in love with him with all of my heart.
I got some bad news.
An' I guess all is fair in love an' war...
But someone wins more.
You never know what time will do.
All I know is I've got some good news.
I've got some bad news.
