As soon as you hear "Blame it all on my roots....." y'all know you're in for a good time.

This flashback performance of Garth Brooks singing "Friends in Low Places" is sure to bring y'all back to the good ol' days.

In the video below, Garth took the stage and immediately captivated the crowed with a lively performance of the hit song. The stage was filled with "party guests" in fancy attire, as Garth moved around the floor interrupting conversations, grabbing champagne glasses and causing a ruckus!

The performance is exactly what you'd imagine through the song's lyrics. Garth literally "showed up in boots", "ruined your black tire affair" and even "took his glass of champagne".

In August 1990, Garth released "Friends in Low Places" as the lead single from his album, No Fences. The song was quick to top the US Billboard Hot Country Songs chart and it stayed in that position for four weeks.

But the song's success didn't stop there. "Friends in Low Places" went on to win the ACM and CMA awards for the 1990 Single of the Year. Congrats, Garth!

Check out the fun performance below!

LYRICS BELOW

Blame it all on my roots
I showed up in boots
And ruined your black tie affair
The last one to know
The last one to show
I was the last one
You thought you'd see there
And I saw the surprise
And the fear in his eyes
When I took his glass of champagne
And I toasted you
Said, honey, we may be through
But you'll never hear me complain

'Cause I've got friends in low places
Where the whiskey drowns
And the beer chases my blues away
And I'll be okay
I'm not big on social graces
Think I'll slip on down to the oasis
Oh, I've got friends in low places

Well, I guess I was wrong
I just don't belong
But then, I've been there before
Everything's all right
I'll just say goodnight
And I'll show myself to the door
Hey, I didn't mean
To cause a big scene
Just give me an hour and then
Well, I'll be as high
As that ivory tower
That you're livin' in

'Cause I've got friends in low places
Where the whiskey drowns
And the beer chases my blues away
And I'll be okay
I'm not big on social graces
Think I'll slip on down to the oasis
Oh, I've got friends in low places

I guess I was wrong
I just don't belong
But then, I've been there before
And everything is alright
I'll just say goodnight
And I'll show myself to the door
I didn't mean to cause a big scene
Just wait 'til I finish this glass
Then sweet little lady
I'll head back to the bar
And you can kiss my ass
