Little kids have the sweetest singing voices, and one little girl uses hers to help her mom get through a rough time in her life.

In a video that comedian and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres posted to her Facebook, a little girl wearing a pink dress starts singing Martina McBride's "I'm Gonna Love You Through It."

"I'm Gonna Love You Through It" was released by McBride in 2011 off her album Eleven. The songwriters were inspired to write the song based on the story of a woman whose husband stood behind her as she battled against breast cancer.

The little girl in the video sings the song for a similar reason, to help inspire her mother, who also has cancer.

In the comments section on DeGeneres' post, the top commenter states that she is the mother and grandmother of the mother and daughter in the video. This woman says her daughter was diagnosed with stage four Hodgkin's Lymphoma in 2013. She says that her daughter hadn't smiled in two years until the little girl, McKenna, sang "I'm Gonna Love You Through It" to her for the first time. Now, the lady says that McKenna continues to sing the song to her mother every day as a form of encouragement. How sweet!

In the video, McKenna's mother is overcome with emotion as she sits and watches her daughter sing to her. McKenna's voice is strong and confident, which seems like the exact thing that her mom needs to hear.

The song seems to be dear to her mother's heart, since she smiles and mouths the words along with McKenna while she sings.

It's also amazing how well McKenna knows the lyrics to the song! She definitely wanted to make sure she had it down before she sang it to her mom for the first time.

At the very end of her performance, McKenna comes running over to her mom and gives her a big hug. What a cute way to end an already adorable performance!

Our thoughts and prayers are with McKenna and her mother as they continue together in their fight against cancer.

LYRICS BELOW

She dropped the phone and burst into tears
The doctor just confirmed her fears
Her husband held it in and held her tight
Cancer don’t discriminate or care if you’re just 38
With three kids who need you in their lives
He said, "I know that you’re afraid and I am, too
But you’ll never be alone, I promise you"

When you’re weak, I’ll be strong
When you let go, I’ll hold on
When you need to cry, I swear that I’ll be there to dry your eyes
When you feel lost and scared to death,
Like you can’t take one more step
Just take my hand, together we can do it
I’m gonna love you through it.

She made it through the surgery fine
They said they caught it just in time
But they had to take more than they planned
Now it's forced smiles and baggy shirts
To hide what the cancer took from her
But she just wants to feel like a woman again
She said, "I don't think I can do this anymore"
He took her in his arms and said "That's what my love is for"

When you’re weak, I’ll be strong
When you let go, I’ll hold on
When you need to cry, I swear that I’ll be there to dry your eyes
When you feel lost and scared to death,
Like you can’t take one more step
Just take my hand, together we can do it
I’m gonna love you through it.

And when this road gets too long
I'll be the rock you lean on
Just take my hand, together we can do it
I’m gonna love you through it.
I’m gonna love you through it.
