The Voice saved the best battle for last during its first night of battle rounds for Season 9.

After a night filled with powerful performances and game-changing steals from the coaches, it was two members of Team Blake that truly brought down the house.

Blake Shelton decided to pair up two of the strongest vocalists on his team, Barrett Baber and Dustin Christensen in a battle singing "Walking In Memphis."

"Walking In Memphis" was originally recorded by rock artist Marc Cohn in 1991. The song was later covered by the country music group Lonestar in 2003, and peaked at the #8 spot on the Country and Western singles chart.

Shelton knew going into Baber and Christensen's battle that it was going to be tough to choose between the two, and his decision didn't get any easier after he watched them perform.

Both Baber and Christenesen lit up the stage with their dynamic personalities and unique voices. Each of them got their chance to shine individually, with Christenesen showing off his smooth voice, and Baber emphasizing his slightly edgy, but soulful sound.

All four coaches were on their feet following Baber and Christenesen's performance, and they also got a standing ovation from the crowd.

Before Shelton decided who would stay on his team, the other coaches praised Baber and Christenesen for their performance.

"The fact that one of you guys could be available right now, blows my mind," said coach Adam Levine. "Because you're both two of the best singers in this competition."

After the other coaches finished talking, Shelton had his chance to address his team members.

"I've gotta say man, this is a tie, this is a draw."

But since the battle couldn't end in a draw, Shelton had to pick a winner, something he clearly found hard to do.

So who was the winner of the battle?

Barrett Baber will be moving on in the competition as a member of Team Blake!

"I'll never stop believing in myself, and this is why I run out to the stage and attack each performance," said Baber.

Just as the audience was getting ready to say goodbye to Christenesen for good, Levine and coach Gwen Stefani both pushed their buttons to steal him for their team.

After Levine and Stefani made their case to have Christenesen join their team, he ultimately ended up choosing to join Team Adam!

We look forward to seeing more from both Baber and Christenesen as The Voice continues this season!

LYRICS BELOW

Put on my blue suede shoes and
I boarded the plane
Touched down in the land of the Delta Blues
In the middle of the pouring rain

W.C. Handy
Won't you look down over me
Yeah, I got a first class ticket
But I'm as blue as a boy can be

Then I'm walking in Memphis
I was walking with my feet ten feet off of Beale
Walking in Memphis
But do I really feel the way I feel?

I saw the ghost of Elvis on Union Avenue
Followed him up to the gates of Graceland
Then I watched him walk right through

Now, security did not see him
They just hovered round his tomb
But there's a pretty little thing
Waiting for the King
And she's down in the jungle room

When I was walking in Memphis
I was walking with my feet ten feet off of Beale
Walking in Memphis
But do I really feel the way I feel?

Now, they've got catfish on the table
They've got gospel in the air
And Reverend Green, be glad to see you
When you haven't got a prayer
But boy you got a prayer in Memphis

Now, Muriel plays piano
Every Friday at the Hollywood
And they brought me down to see her
And they asked me if I would
Do a little number
And I sang with all my might
She said, "Tell me are you a Christian, child?"
And I said, "Ma'am, I am tonight!"

Walking in Memphis
I was walking with my feet ten feet off of Beale
Walking in Memphis
But do I really feel the way I feel?

Walking in Memphis
I was walking with my feet ten feet off of Beale
Walking in Memphis
But do I really feel the way I feel?

Put on my blue suede shoes and I
Boarded the plane
Touched down in the land of the Delta Blues
In the middle of the pouring rain

Touched down in the land of the Delta Blues
In the middle of the pouring rain
