This Grammy-winning songstress and American Idol never imagined her life would be like it is now...

During a tell-all, candid interview with People Magazine, Carrie Underwood shares her thoughts on married life, being a new mom, and breast-feeding!

When Underwood auditioned for American Idol way back in 2005, she admits

“I never dreamt of my wedding day and the perfect guy,” she says. “Then I met Mike, and I was like, ‘Wow, so now I know what I was missing.’ And the same with my son. I was never like, ‘I want kids so bad.’ And now that I have Isaiah in my life, I’m like, ‘What did I do before?’ ”

While she may be pleasantly surprised by the glorious gifts in her life, nothing's stopping her from cranking out new music for the masses! Her newest album, Storyteller, drops on 10/23/2015.

Being a strong female country vocalist involves a great deal of perfectionism on stage, but being a new parent brings self-doubt to her personal life.

You feel guilty about every single thing, every decision you make, everything you do.”

She even confesses that she struggles with breastfeeding her new baby boy.

“It’s hard. My supply is pretty nil. We have to supplement with formula. I’m doing the best that I can, you know?”

Although balancing two busy professional lives and a new baby can be difficult, Underwood and husband Fisher look like they're doing a great job! Keep it up!

LYRICS BELOW

Mama you taught me to do the right things
So now you have to let your baby fly
You've given me everything that I will need
To make it through this crazy thing called life

And I know you watch me grow up
And only want what's best for me
And I think I found the answer
To your prayers

And he is good, so good
He treats your little girl like a real man should
He is good, so good, he makes promises he keeps
No he's never gonna leave
So don't you worry about me
Don't you worry about me

Mama there's no way you'll ever lose me
And giving me away is not goodbye
As you watch me walk down to my future,
I hope tears of joy are in your eyes

'Cause he is good, so good
And he treats your little girl like a real man should
He is good, so good, he makes promises he keeps
No he's never gonna leave
So don't you worry about me
Don't you worry about me

And when I watch my baby grow up
I'll only want what's best for her
And I hope she'll find the answer to my prayers
And that she'll say

He is good, so good
And he treats your little girl like a real man should
He is good, so good, he makes promises he keeps
No he's never gonna leave
So don't you worry about me
Don't you worry about me

Mama don't you worry about me
Don't you worry about me
