It's not an unusual thing for country stars to bring a famous friend on stage for a performance. But Brad Paisley brought more than a friend or two on stage to help him with his CMA performance of "Country Nation."
Paisley released "Country Nation" in September 2015 as the fourth single from his album, Moonshine In the Trunk.
The song celebrates the working class, and also mentions various college football mascots, including the West Virginia Mountaineers, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Texas Longhorns.
"Country Nation" also became the title for Paisley's college tour, which followed after the release of the single.
For his CMA's performance, Paisley had dozens of college football's most recognizable mascots join him on stage. The mascots dance around in the background, while the crowd cheers wildly for them and Paisley.
