Crow and Nelson sang Cline's "Crazy" during their CMT Crossroads performance in 2002 and completely stunned the audience. There wasn't a single sound in the crowd as they were captivated by this breathtaking performance.
"Crazy" was actually written by Nelson in 1961 for country singer Billy Walker. He turned it down because it wasn't a man's song. Nelson, then a struggling songwriter, met Patsy's husband in a bar and pitched him the song. She originally hated it, but after her producer reworked it, she recorded it in late 1961, and ended up falling in love with it.
"Crazy" went on to be a #2 country hit in 1962 and is considered one of the best country songs of all time.
When the performance is over, you'll be wanting to play this song over and over again. Crow and Nelson capture Cline's essence in song and covered one of her most classic tunes wonderfully.
