These two on one stage is almost too much to handle. So much star-power in one performance!

George Strait and Merle Haggard have both been deemed country music legends in their own right. Strait remains the classic, "King of Country", and Haggard, the pioneer of outlaw country. Although these two are different, they share one common denominator: supreme talent.

In this performance, Strait and Haggard present a ACM All-Star Salute to the Troops in the Las Vegas MGM arena. Thousands of America's finest gathered to hear some of the best country music, played by true "all-stars" in the genre.

The duo performed Haggard's classic,"Fightin' Side of Me". The song remains one of the most famous in his illustrious career, and has been called the original "Angry American" song, because of its focus on the working-man's conservative values and politics. The single was released in 1969 off Haggard's album of the same name - reaching #1 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart.

This tribute performance is high-energy, fun, and all around amazing. You can see the crowd clapping and singing along with the somewhat controversial lyrics, taking in the legendary moment.

Watch Strait and Haggard perform "Fightin' Side of Me" for our much deserving American troops!

LYRICS BELOW

I hear people talkin' bad
About the way we have to live here in this country
Harpin' on the wars we fight
An' gripin' 'bout the way things oughta be

An' I don't mind 'em switchin' sides
An' standin' up for things they believe in
When you're runnin' down my country, man
You're walkin' on the fightin' side of me

Yeah, walkin' on the fightin' side of me
Runnin' down the way of life
Our fightin' men have fought and died to keep

If you don't love it, leave it
Let this song I'm singin' be a warnin'
You're runnin' down my country, man
You're walkin' on the fightin' side of me

I read about some squirrelly guy
Who claims, he just don't believe in fightin'
An' I wonder just how long
The rest of us can count on bein' free

They
love our milk an' honey
But they preach about some other way of livin'
When you're runnin' down my country, hoss
You're walkin' on the fightin' side of me

Yeah, walkin' on the fightin' side of me
Runnin' down the way of life
Our fightin' men have fought and died to keep

If you don't love it, leave it
Let this song I'm singin' be a warnin'
But you're runnin' down my country, man
You're walkin' on the fightin' side of me

Yeah, walkin' on the fightin' side of me
Runnin' down the way of life
Our fightin' men have fought and died to keep

Yeah if you don't love it, leave it
Let this song I'm singin' be a warnin'
And you're runnin' down my country, man
You're walkin' on the fightin' side of me
