The 2015 American Music Awards were definitely a big night for country star, Carrie Underwood.
Earlier in the night, Underwood debuted her newest single, "Heartbeat." Underwood co-wrote the song and admitted that it is very special to her. The romantic ballad is about a simple type of love, a love we can all understand, and a love Underwood shares with her husband, Mike Fisher.
After the enchanting performance, Underwood was given a well-deserved award. Running against fellow nominees Miranda Lambert and Kelsea Ballerini, Underwood was crowned the AMA's Favorite Female Country Artist. This honor marks her ninth AMA Award, as well as the third win in this same category.
A proud and smiley Underwood took the stage and began thanking those who helped her get to where she is today. She said,
Thank you fans! I thank God for you and for Country music! And for all the blessings that... I still don't know. I don't know how I'm on this stage right now to be honest. I am so, so thankful.
Underwood then began gushing about her adorable family, telling the crowd,
To my husband, and my little Isaiah, you guys are the best things in my life! So much to be thankful for!
How sweet! It is clear that her husband and son have a huge influence on her life, and she is so thankful for the two of them.
All the people that I am again, just so blessed to have in my life. Thank you God. Thank you fans. You're awesome!
We think it's safe to say that Carrie Underwood is definitely a fan favorite!
