The 29-year-old country star gives a breathtakingly sweet rendition of a 1912 gospel song...

With her beautifully sweet and youthful sound, Ashley Monroe is often compared to Dolly Parton. Making her first foray into the music scene as a talented songwriter, she then gained a recording contract with Sony Records for her 2006 debut single, "Satisfied". Through a series of twists and turns, Monroe finally released her debut album of the same name in 2009, but it lacked her second single "I Don't Want To"

In 2011, Monroe joined forces with Miranda Lambert and Angaleena Presley to form a band called Pistol Annies. The trio have released two studio albums and several singles while also providing backing vocals to artists like Blake Shelton and Jewel

Now, in 2015, Monroe is back with her latest and greatest release: The Blade. The first single from the album, "On To Something Good" was released and immediately went into the Top 100 on the Billboard US Country Airplay chart.

During a special interview and session with Yahoo!, Monroe delivers a spine-tingling version of her dad's favorite hymn, "In The Garden". In the session, she dedicates the song to her late father who passed when she was just 13-years-old.

Watch her beautifully melodic gospel singing in the video below!

LYRICS BELOW

I come to the garden alone
While the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear, falling on my ear
The Son of God discloses

And He walks with me and He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known

He speaks and the sound of His voice
Is so sweet, the birds hush their singing
And the melody that He gave to me
Within my heart is ringing

And He walks with me and He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known

I'd stay in the garden with Him
'Tho the night around me be falling
And He bids me go, through the voice of woe
His voice to me is calling

And He walks with me and He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known
