Her tribute performance stunned the 1996 Grand Ole Opry 70th Anniversary celebration...

Over thirty years since the legendary Patsy Cline was taken from the world too soon, one of country music's leading ladies paid tribute to her with a performance of a lifetime.

Back in the early '60s, and while trying to reclaim success lost while she was recovering from a car crash, Cline launched her career into new heights with a single penned by Willie Nelson: "Crazy". The tune suited her vocal talent like a well-tailored tuxedo.

Cline's version would go on to peak at the No. 2 chart position. Surprisingly, the hit single we all know Cline for was recorded in just one single take. Nelson even says that her version of his song is his favorite because it "was a lot of magic".

Martina McBride took the stage during the Grand Ole Opry's 70th Anniversary show and dedicated the song to the late female legend.

"On this very special night, with love and respect for the Opry and one of its greatest stars, I've chosen to sing this very special song by Patsy Cline."

After that, McBride begins singing "Crazy", marking a performance that anyone in attendance surely remembers even to this day.
