Brantley Gilbert has outdone himself yet again with the music video for his single "Stone Cold Sober." Although the song was released in August 2015, Gilbert just released the music video on December 13.
Released off of the platinum edition of his album Just as I Am, "Stone Cold Sober" peaked at the 30th spot on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. But after the release of the song's music video, we wouldn't be surprised if it started to climb higher up the charts.
The opening shots of the music video show the after effects of what appears to have been a wild party that took place the night before. Trash is thrown all over the lawn, as are a series of random objects such as a deer head, a chainsaw, and a toilet.
Many of the party goers are shown sleeping in the yard, trying to recover from the previous night's events. Gilbert and his band perform in the middle of the trash-filled scene, while one guy wakes up and remembers a girl he made a connection with at the party.
When the guy sees that the girl wrote her number on his arm, he reflects on the events from the night before, and realizes he still wants to see her again, even though he's now "stone cold sober."
Overall, the video has a fun vibe, with Gilbert walking through all the trash and handing random objects to the people sleeping on the lawn.
