Congratulations are in order for Faith Hill!

The "Mississippi Girl" announced today that she will be honored by her home state in a very meaningful way.

In a statement on her website, she revealed that,

"The Mississippi Country Music Trail will unveil its 30th marker, honoring Faith Hill, at 1pm on Saturday December 19, 2015, at the corner of Main and Mangum Streets in Star, Miss."

Daron Wilson, interim director of Visit Mississippi, says Hill represents The Magnolia State on an international level.

"She is a prime example of the influence our state has had on country music – the soundtrack of the American South."

Hill has always openly shown her "Mississippi Girl" pride.  I am so proud to be from Star and am honored to receive this marker on the Country Music Trail,” Hill said. “Growing up, my friends and I would hang out in the parking lot after church at Star Baptist Church, planning our lives and sharing our dreams. Having my marker near that church makes it even more special for me.

Over the last twenty years, Hill has proven her talent time and again, and has been awarded with five Grammys, 15 ACM Awards, six AMA's, and many other accolades.

Congratulation, Faith! You deserve it!

Listen to her 2005 hit song "Mississippi Girl" below!

Lyrics Below

Well it's a long way from Star, Mississippi
To the big stage I'm singing on tonight
And sometimes the butterflies still get me
When I'm in the spotlight

And some people seem to think that I've changed
That I'm different than I was back then
But in my soul I know that I'm the same way
That I really always been

Cause a Mississippi girl don't change her ways
Just cause everybody knows her name
Ain't big-headed from a little bit of fame
I still like wearing my old ball cap
Ride my kids around piggy back
They might know me all around this world
But y'all I'm still a Mississippi girl

Well I spent a few weeks in California
They put my face on the big movie screen
But that don't mean I've forgotten where I came from
That's just me chasing dreams, yeah

Cause a Mississippi girl don't change her ways
Just cause everybody knows her name
Ain't big headed from a little bit of fame
I still like wearing my old ball cap
Ride my kids around piggy back
They might know me all around this world
But y'all I'm still a Mississippi girl

Cause a Mississippi girl don't change her ways
Just cause everybody knows her name
Ain't big headed from a little bit of fame
I still like wearing my old ball cap
Ride my kids around piggy back
They might know me all around this world
But y'all I'm still a Mississippi girl

Mississippi girl
oh
Mississippi girl
Mississippi girl
yeah yeah
oh oh

Mississippi girl
