Luke Bryan, the two-time CMA Entertainer of the Year and reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year, revealed to Taste of Country Nights radio show when he will stop making music. Well, luckily for us, he says that he may never retire!
He loves performing too much and announcing a final tour doesn't sound like something he would want to do.
"I don’t know that I’ll ever launch or announce a retirement at any point," he assures us. "I think you’ll see moments in my career where the amount of tours that I do fluctuate and the amount of dates on the road fluctuate. But I think I gotta always have that fix of going out and having some fun playing music, but I would hate to like launch some big year of retirement and tell everybody I’m doing that, then say I retire. Then once I retire I’m wishing I hadn’t sold a fake bill of goods to everybody."
He also reveals that his favorite part of making country music is just making people, and also himself, happy.
"My career milestone is just to look back and go, ‘God knows you enjoyed every chance you had on stage and you were always happy that you were doing this business.'"
We hope we never see the day when Luke stops making music, and are so happy it isn't anytime soon!
