As the country-rock superstar promised back on November 13th, Brantley Gilbert is returning to play the tour dates that were postponed.
"Out of respect for the lives lost in yesterdays terrorist attacks, we have decided to postpone the rest of our European dates", Brantley's team stated in a Nov. 14 Facebook post. "Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of France at this tragic time. WE WILL BE BACK."
Following through on his promise to his European fans, he will return to resume his Blackout Tour in May 2016 performing at venues across Scotland and England. The tour officially re-launches in North American on January 28th, beginning with a Michigan show.
During a video post on his Facebook page, Brantley speaks up about why the concerts were cancelled and his return to Europe.
"This goes out to everybody in the UK", the singer begins. "With the events that took place in France we felt like it was the best call to go home and give y'all some time to grieve," he continues.
He admits the team wanted to be respectful and felt it wasn't a good time for a concert. "We also wanted to regroup and pray for you," he said. "We promised you we were coming back - and here we come!"
Brantley had just barely began his tour with the first show just days before the attacks. The singer had also recently launched his first single of 2015, "Stone Cold Sober", which dominated the charts and earned a position in the Top 40.
The singer and his entire team obviously have all of the people affected by the terrorist attacks at the forefront of their thoughts and prayers.
