In a light blue dress and sparkling cowgirl boots, Michelle confidently walked in the audition room, and immediately captivated the judges.
Judge Harry Connick Jr. told the sixteen-year-old,
You look fantastic! I'm loving everything I'm seeing!
Michelle thanked the judges, and told them that since she was four years old, she has been dreaming of the day she could audition for competition. The judges smiled and Michelle began her audition. It didn't take long for the judges to see her talent, as they were in awe the moment she began singing LeAnn Rimes' "Blue."
Just outside the audition room, the young girl's family watched her performance in matching "Michelle Marie is Our American Idol" t-shirts! They intently studied the judges faces, noticing just how impressed they were!
Dazzled judge, Jennifer Lopez, praised Michelle, saying
