The Voice champion joins forces with a fellow country star and they channel their inner George Strait during a performance like no other!

Craig Wayne Boyd has been covering country legends for a long time, most notably during the seventh season of The Voice. Since that time, he's been working diligently to get his new music out and performing around the country alongside other talented country stars.

In a stunning performance in New Bern, North Carolina, both he and David Adam Byrnes take on a hit direct from the King of Country. Singing "The Fireman", these two savvy singers send the crowd cheering for more!

The song was originally released in 1985 by George Strait as the final single from his hit album, Does Fort Worth Ever Cross Your Mind. It speaks from a first-person perspective as a fella' so charming he can cool down any angry woman. It's been praised for it's "fantastic Western swing arrangement" and "Strait's in-on-the-joke delivery". The single peaked at No. 5 on the Hot Country Singles chart and marked another slam-dunk for Strait.

Check out these two young stars covering a great country hit in the video below!

LYRICS BELOW

Well,

They call me the fireman, that's my name.
Making my rounds all over town, putting out old flames.
Well everybody'd like to have a what I got.
I can cool 'em down when they're smoldering hot.
I'm the fireman, that's my name.

Last night they had a bad one a mile or two down the road.
Well my buddy walked out and left his woman burnin' out of control.
Well I was down there in about an hour or so.
With a little mouth to mouth she was ready to go.
I'm the fireman, that's my name.

They call me the fireman, that's my name.
Making my rounds all over town, putting out old flames.
Well everybody'd like to have a what I got.
I can cool 'em down when they're smoldering hot.
I'm the fireman, that's my name.

Burn 'em up

Got a fire engine red T-bird automobile.
In a minute or less I can be dressed fit to kill.
I work 24 on, 24 off.
When they get too hot, they just give me a call.
I'm the fireman, that's my name.

They call me the fireman, that's my name.
Making my rounds all over town, putting out old flames.
Well everybody'd like to have a what I got.
I can cool 'em down when they're smoldering hot.
I'm the fireman, that's my name.

They call me the fireman, that's my name.
