Like many other girls who grew up listening to Tim McGraw, Taylor Swift has a great admiration of the "Indian Outlaw" singer. McGraw's influence on her has been so great that she even named her first single after him.

When Swift was in the beginning stages of her career, she got the opportunity of a lifetime when she was able to open shows for McGraw and his wife, Faith Hill on their Soul2Soul II Tour.

In the years since, Swift has made the switch from country to pop, becoming one of the world's biggest celebrities. During her current tour, she has received a lot of recognition for bringing other famous artists on stage with her to perform their biggest hits.

Well it turns out this isn't a new thing, Swift's been bringing special guests on stage for years, and McGraw was one of them.

During a concert in Nashville for her Speak Now tour in 2011, Swift invited her third guest of the night on stage to perform with her, who turned out to be McGraw himself. The crowd went wild when they saw McGraw there, but really couldn't contain their excitement when he started singing his number one hit, "Just to See You Smile."

"Just to See You Smile" was released on August 9, 1997 as the third single off of McGraw's album, Everywhere. The song's popularity surged in November, and it started a rapid climb up the charts. It eventually hit number one on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart on January 17, 1998, spending six straight weeks in the top spot.

In total, "Just to See You Smile was on the charts for 42 weeks, and broke the record for the longest-running country single on the Billboard charts.

Dressed in an all-black suit and wearing his signature cowboy hat, it didn't take McGraw long to charm the crowd and Swift with his performance of the song. When he sang the line "you always had an eye for things that glittered," Swift curtseyed, since she happened to be wearing a glittery, gold dress.

McGraw sang most of the song on his own, with Swift jumping in to provide the occasional harmony. But at one point, McGraw stepped aside while Swift sang the chorus before he joined back in.

Following the duet, the two of them shared several hugs, while the crowd kept cheering. It's clear they really enjoyed the performance!

You can watch McGraw and Swift sing "Just to See You Smile" together in the video below.

We would love to see McGraw and Swift perform together again someday!

LYRICS BELOW

You always had an eye for things that glittered
But I was far from being made of gold
I don't know how but I scraped up the money
I just never could quite tell you no

Just like when you were leaving Amarillo
Takin' that new job in Tennessee
And I quit mine so we could be together
I can't forget the way you looked at me

Just to see you smile
I'd do anything that you wanted me to
When all is said and done
I'd never count the cost
It's worth all that's lost
Just to see you smile

When you said time was all you really needed
I walked away and let you have your space
'Cause leavin' didn't hurt me near as badly
As the tears I saw rollin' down your face

And yesterday I knew just what you wanted
When you came walkin' up to me with him
So I told you that I was happy for you
And given the chance I'd lie again

Just to see you smile
I'd do anything that you wanted me to
When all is said and done
I'd never count the cost
It's worth all that's lost
Just to see you smile

Just to see you smile
I'd do anything that you wanted me to
When all is said and done
I'd never count the cost
It's worth all that's lost
Just to see you smile
