Released just days ago, the emotional video to her latest single helps the country legend and her fans connect on a deeper level.

The third single from Love Somebody, "Just Like Them Horses" is an emotional tribute to her father who passed away in 2014. The loss of a parent had a profound impact on the singer, and she says that God had a strong hand in the writing of the song.

"[This song] was God's idea. He gave it to me, and we ran with it. Anytime God touches something you know it's gonna be very powerful and very strong. And that's why this video has hit so many peoples hearts. It's got God written all over it."

The black-and-white video begins with a heart-wrenching monologue from the singer, posing tough questions following the loss of her father.

"How do you say goodbye? How do you say goodbye to somebody who made you, raised you, taught you, disciplined you, loved you? How do you say goodbye?"

During a recent live session on Facebook, Reba McEntire reads stories sent to her by fans that share the loss, heartbreak, and grief through the passing of a loved one. Beginning with just the first couple stories, the singer begins to tear up and ultimately has to grab a tissue to wipe away her tears.

One of the most striking stories that brings McEntire to tears calls out music's healing power and ability to comfort and bring peace to people.

"The first time I watched this video, I cried my eyes out and I kept hitting repeat because it was just so therapeutic - your music always has been for me. My entire life I was able to find a song of yours that fit my life and helped me get through it. I firmly believe that because of you, I am here today."

"These lyrics mean so much to me, too.  It's a play by play for the day I lost my grandpa. Holding his hand as he passed and waling outside to see a clearing of clouds and a beautiful ray of sunshine. Heaven welcoming him in. "

Reba had to stop several times throughout the reading of the story because she was getting choked up with emotion and tears. All of the stories, including this one, have a great deal of heartache in them and you can tell that Reba feels for each and every one of her fans as she reads them aloud.

LYRICS BELOW

She held him close, then she kissed his face
He said it just has to be this way
Yours is the heart I'll always keep
I'm not gone even if I leave

If you love me, don't you be afraid
To look in my eyes and open up the gate
Then watch me ride beneath a newborn sun
Just like them horses
When it's time to run

He said, Rocky Mountain is calling me
Gonna take a walk up where I can sing
Turn and face that western wind
Oh, and I'll be home again

If you love me, don't you be afraid
To look in my eyes and open up the gate
Then watch me ride beneath a newborn sun
Just like them horses
When it's time to run

Oh, just like them horses

She held his hand, he took one last breath
Then she walked out to the front porch step
Stared at the sky, tears on her face
And she swore she could hear him say

If you love me, don't you be afraid
To look in my eyes and open up the gate
Then watch me ride beneath a newborn sun
Just like them horses
When it's time to run

Just like them horses
When it's time to run
When it's time to run
When it's time to run

Now it's time to run

Just like them horses, ooh
Just like them horses
Oh, now it's time to run
