Lady Antebellum's Charles Kelley has ventured out on his own and the work he's produced has been pure magic.
From his Grammy-nominated debut single, "The Driver", to his emotional ballad, "Leaving Nashville", his new album The Driver is definitely one for the books.
Kelley has released "1 Mic 1 Take" videos where he strips down a song and performs it in one take, and every video has been better than the last.
In one "1 Mic 1 Take" video, he covered Miley Cyrus' 2013 pop ballad "Wrecking Ball".
While many people associate Cyrus' controversial music video with the song, if you listen to the lyrics, it is actually a very powerful and emotional ballad. She shines on this track from her 2013 Bangerz album, and is undoubtedly one of her best songs.
Kelley's acoustic version is, dare we say, better than the original. His vocals are perfect for this song and the natural grit he has makes it even more emotional.
Kelley's debut solo album The Driver is available now! You can order it on iTunes here.
