There are few things Carrie Underwood is more passionate about than her family and her pets. Ever since her son, Isaiah, was born last February, the proud new mom has posted numerous photos on her social media pages allowing fans to ooh & aah over her adorable baby. Underwood also shares photos of her rescue animals occasionally, which is no surprise considering she is a devoted animal lover.
In 2011, the American Idol champ funded a new animal shelter in her hometown of Checotah, Oklahoma, through her foundation Checotah Animal, Town, and School Foundation - also known as C.A.T.S.
“It funded the building here and before we had the building she was funding our spaying and neutering,” Underwood’s mother, Carol, a volunteer at the shelter, said.
Although Carrie now resides in Nashville with her hockey-playing husband, Mike Fisher, the singer hasn't forgotten where she comes from. Through her foundation, Underwood has also made notable contributions to the music program at her old high school.
Carrie Underwood recently kicked off her 2016 Storyteller Tour: Stories In The Round. And, somewhere amongst the tour's 17 semi-trucks and eight buses you'll find a state-of-the-art mobile gym, a baby-proofed bus, and...a rescue dog.
In a photo shared to Instagram on Saturday, Underwood admitted that she melts when she boards the bus following a concert and sees the face of her rescue dog. We have to agree with Carrie. Her pet is adorable! What do you think?
