There's no stopping the iconic, Dolly Parton!
Last week, Parton was honored at the Movieguide Awards for her TV film, Coat of Many Colors. The movie was released during the holidays, and was a huge hit for the country singer, as well as for NBC, scoring over 13 million viewers.
In an interview with DailyMail.com, Parton gave fans a little hint about a potential next move. She said of the movie,
It really did well and everybody wants us to do some more and we are in discussions about what we should do and when we should do it.
Do we hear a sequel coming on!? She continued, "Because we gotta get these kids while they are perfectly young and before they grow out from under us! So hopefully, we will get a chance to do some more." Watch Parton's interview clip below.
We can't wait to see what happens next!
Parton's mini-me joined her at the event, eight-year-old Alyvia Alyn Lind. Lind starred in the movie as a childhood Parton, and the country signer admitted she couldn't have picked a better fit.
She said of the young actress, "She did great. She is so talented on her own. She made me look really good. I couldn't have found a better me."
We'd have to agree!
But when asked if Parton was planning to slow it down, she was quick to announce she has no plans of stopping any time soon. She said,
The only thing that would stop me is if I just couldn't do it for health reasons, but as long as I can do it I want to do it. I'll never retire.
She continued, "I wouldn't know what to do. I've been doing this all my life. I'm excited every day. I still love it." Watch it below. We hope to see much more of you, Dolly!
