"Dedicated to all the children who have to be superheroes way too young."
For some children and their families, this statement is heartbreakingly too true.
Below, two young country singers pour their hearts and souls into a performance dedicated to children less fortunate than them. We're sure it will inspire you... as well as bring a tear to your eye.
The performance features Emi's vocals and Carson on the fiddle, all while a slideshow of children hospital patients plays in the background.
Despite their illnesses, the children have smiles on their faces, showing that they are strong, and as Emi would say, "Able."
EmiSunshine wrote the song in 2015, and immediately dedicated it to the families and children of the Niswonger Children's Hospital, located in Johnson City, TN, her native state.
Carson posted the video of the two to his Facebook page, saying of the performance, "It is a song that my friend, EmiSunshine, wrote and our friends at the Niswonger Children's Hospital have decided to use to help tell the story of their mission; helping children and their families overcome sickness."
Emi and Carson are wise beyond their years, and it is so inspiring to see the two sing for such an important cause.
