Nashville was in for a treat last night!
On Tuesday (Feb. 9), Sam Hunt played a show at The Ryman for the Country Radio Seminar and invited a very special guest to join the stage with him.
Before Kelley walked on stage, Hunt thanked the crowd for listening to his music and admitted that he fell in love with country music because of country radio.
He welcomed Kelley to the stage, who he toured with last year, and they began singing a medley of country and R&B hits from the 1990s.
Kelley looked like he was having a blast! He took out his phone, went in the audience and snapped a few selfies with fans.
Mariah Carey's "Always Be My Baby" started the R & B portion of the medley, followed by "Say My Name" by Destiny's Child. Next was "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" by Cyndi Lauper, which has turned into a Sam Hunt staple.
They closed out the medley with a rockin' version of Deana Carter's "Strawberry Wine".
This impromptu performance proves just what great musicians these two are. According to Kelley's Twitter post, he had no clue what songs would be in the medley. He harmonized to every song and even took the lead, and on songs he had no clue he was going to sing!
Hunt proved that he is not only one of the best breakout artists we've seen this year, but he's also here to stay!
