Sam Hunt broke down barriers when he burst onto the country music scene in 2014 with his debut single, "Leave The Night On"

His style of country music was very different than what others had produced for many years, and nearly a year later, Hunt spoke candidly with  about breaking down stereotypes in country music.

Since his album's release many have criticized the singer for his "lack of classic", saying that he had no appreciation for the classic country songs that brought the genre into focus for the world.

Hunt has always maintained that he grew up country and listening to the classics. He even admitted that he used to wear boots and jeans, but is of the opinion that playing into a stereotype like that doesn't expose his music to new ears.

During a recent performance at the famous Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Sam Hunt gave the country music world a glimpse at his roots.

Performing Waylon Jennings' 1977 super-hit, "Belle Of The Ball", he dazzles the hundreds of attendees at the 2016 Country Radio Seminar with one of their fan favorites. With a stunning acoustic show like this, he's definitely going to be making new fans!

Watch one of the biggest and most controversial country stars sing "Belle Of The Ball" in the video below!

LYRICS BELOW

A vagabond dreamer, a rhymer and singer of songs
Singing to no one and nowhere to really belong
I met a beautiful lady, a pure Southern belle of the ball
Like Scarlet O'Hara loved no one but wanted them all

I'll never forget you and love you inspite of your faults
The good and the bad, I want to remember it all
And I did a new dance and you did your Tennessee Waltz
But the party's all over I came uninvited
I'm leaving and taking the belle of the ball

There will always be someone, I guess that's the way it should be
I guess I should know that someone used to be me
They'll gather around her, soon they'll all look the same
At the feet of the lady are lovers without any names

I'll never forget you and love you inspite of your faults
The good and the bad, I want to remember it all
And I did a new dance and you did your Tennessee Waltz
But the party's all over I came uninvited
I'm leaving and taking the belle of the ball
