Nearly immediately after Joey + Rory finished out their stunning performance o CMT's singing competition, Can You Duet, their super-hit single, "Cheater, Cheater" struck the airwaves and debuted at the No. 10 spot, bringing them an even larger fanbase and newfound success.
Joey and Rory Feek continued to make music for the years that followed and released a handful of albums, while still holding their annual farmhouse concert on their property and performing around the country. They quickly became one of country music's most beloved duos.
In recent months, the couple has been receiving prayers and well-wishes from fans worldwide while Joey Feek continues to battle late-stage cancer.
It was announced by the husband-wife team last fall, that they had opted to discontinue treatment when the doctors noticed no improvement after repeated attempts to free her body of the disease.
The Grand Ole Opry graced fans with some never-before-seen footage of the country couple performing one of their beloved hits with their daughter, Heidi.
The three took the stage at the famous Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on August 9th, 2013 - just weeks before their fifth studio album, Made To Last, debuted and sang their Grammy-nominated song, "If I Needed You" live on the Opry!
Their song is a cover of the Townes Van Zandt original that he released on his 1972 album, The Late Great Townes Van Zandt and famously covered by Emmylou Harris and Don Williams as a duet.
Watch this incredible unseen footage of these two performing "If I Needed You" below!
If I needed you
Would you come to me
Would you come to me
For to ease my pain
If you needed me
I would come to you
I would swim the sea
For to ease your pain
Oh the night's forlorn
And the morning's born
And the morning shines
With the light of love
You will miss sunrise
If you close your eyes
And that would break my heart in two
Lay these with me now
Since I showed him how
To lay his hand there in mine
Who could ill agree
He's a sight to see
And a treasure for the poor to find
