In April 2012, Trisha Yearwood started hosting a cooking show for Food Network called Trisha's Southern Kitchen. Over the years, the show has grown in popularity, and Yearwood was even awarded an Emmy Award for Outstanding Culinary Show in 2013.
Yearwood cooks up some of the best Southern dishes on the show, many of which are inspired by her family recipes. Yearwood also invites her family and friends to join her on the show sometimes, and even her husband Garth Brooks made a guest appearance in the past.
On Friday, (Feb. 19) Yearwood revealed who will be the next special guest on Trisha's Southern Kitchen...none other than her good friend and fellow country superstar, Reba McEntire.
Yearwood first hinted toward McEntire's appearance on the show a day before she made her official announcement, sharing a photo of a delicious-looking pound cake with a hint for her fans.
"Guess who my guest is on #SouthernKitchen Saturday?" Yearwood wrote. "Hint: She puts the royal glaze on this pound cake."
McEntire is set to make her appearance on Trisha's Southern Kitchen on Saturday, (Feb. 20). Yearwood also posted a photo of her and McEntire working together in the kitchen, and the look on her face proves how excited she was to have her friend on the show.
It looks like Yearwood and McEntire had a blast! We know from Yearwood's posts they baked a pound cake together, but we wonder what else they will cook up.
While you wait for McEntire's guest appearance on Trisha's Southern Kitchen, tune in below to watch a short clip from Brooks' appearance on the show.
