Phil Robertson has hit the campaign trail with Ted Cruz.
In the video Robertson explained what he is looking for in a presidential candidate.
"My qualifications for president of the United States are rather narrow," Robertson says. "Is he or she Godly, does he or she love us, can he or she do the job, and finally would they kill a duck and put him in a pot and make him a good duck gumbo? Cruz fits the bill."
Robertson served as the keynote speaker during Cruz's campaign rally in South Carolina. At the same rally, Cruz spoke about the importance of Robertson's endorsement to him.
"There's a reason he terrifies the mainstream media," Cruz says at the rally. "He says the things you're not supposed to say. He actually remembers who we are as Americans and just speaks it with a joy, not with an anger, not with a hatred, with a joy in who we are."
In his speech, he goes on to suggest that Robertson would be a great United States Ambassador to the United Nations.
According to the United States Mission to the United Nations website, the US Ambassador to the UN "works to advance U.S. interests, promote and defend universal values, and address pressing global challenges to global peace, security, and prosperity."
"How much would you pay to see the Russian ambassador's face when Phil says, 'What is wrong with you people?'" he says, jokingly to an adoring crowd.
How do you think Robertson would do as a UN Ambassador? We imagine he'd call a lot of fellow Ambassadors "yuppies" at the beginning!
