One of the best-known crew chiefs in the industry was just admitted to the hospital after being sick for some time.
A member of the famed Stewart-Haas Racing Team, both a coworker and friend to racing stars like Danica Patrick, Tony Stewart, Kevin Harvick, Clint Bowyer, and crew chief to Kurt Busch, Tony Gibson has become a staple in NASCAR since he began his career in the 80s as a body hanger.
In a new tweet direct from Gibson himself, he reveals that he has been fighting a case of the flu for a while now and is also undergoing surgery to have his gallbladder removed while still sick. Just a few months ago in November 2016, Gibson's wife, Beth, was admitted to the hospital and underwent the same surgery.

Stewart-Haas Racing replied to Gibson and sent their well wishes and prayers for a quick recovery.
When Beth Gibson underwent her surgery, Tony showed his incredibly loving personality and asked for prayers from his followers for his wife during her time at the hospital.

We will be keeping Mr. Gibson in our thoughts and prayers as he undergoes this surgery, and we wish him a speedy recovery from both the flu and his surgery!
Get well soon, Tony!
