The battle round of The Voice is without a doubt, the most competitive part of the show. Two members from the same team pair up and battle it out on the same song, each one aiming to outperform the other.
With so much drive in the contestants' systems to put on the best performance possible, the battle rounds also end up showcasing their talent to the highest degree. Sometimes, you get two team members who pair up and put on such a stellar performance that you have no idea how their coach will be able to only choose one of them.
That was the case on Monday night (October 10), when Team Blake members Dan Shafer and Sundance Head battled it out on "Feel Like Makin' Love."
As they were preparing for the battles, Shelton was a bit concerned over how Shafer would perform. But there was no need for Shelton to worry, because Shafer came out and gave the performance his all. He worked the stage and interacted with the crowd in a way that allowed him to connect with everyone in the room.
This is something Shelton praised Shafer for following the battle, saying, "man, you're a performer!"
As for Head, he shocked all of the coaches when he sort of screamed through a note in a rock-like style. The four coaches looked at one another in awe when he did that, and Shelton later complimented Head for his vocal power.
"That voice comes out of there and it literally blows the brains out of my head, into the toilet, and the toilet flushes itself," he said.
Shelton was left with a difficult choice, because he could only pick one person and they were both so talented. But it didn't take him long to decide who he wanted on his team...now you tune in below to see who he picked!
After you watch the video, let us know, do you think Shelton made the right choice?
