Blake Shelton celebrated his 40th birthday on Saturday (June 18) with the party of all parties...Country Jam in Grand Junction, Colorado. The crowd was fired up for Shelton's 2-hour set, but the singer had a huge surprise up his sleeve.
According to concert-goers, Shelton sang several of his duets alone and said from the stage that no special guests would be making an appearance for those duets. So, as you can imagine, fans were shocked when Shelton's girlfriend Gwen Stefani made her way on stage, sans introduction, and joined Shelton for their duet "Go Ahead and Break My Heart."
Shelton spent some time meeting fans prior to his concert and shared that Stefani had decorated his plane for his birthday and revealed that she was with him in Colorado. But, no one expected the two to share the stage. After their duet, Stefani took the stage to fulfill Blake's birthday wish...a performance of her hit "Hella Good." She then asked the crowd to join her in wishing Shelton a Happy Birthday.
If his Twitter status is any indication, the night is one Blake won't soon forget.
I possibly witnessed the coolest and craziest thing of my life tonight.... Thank you Colorado and @gwenstefani!!! Look up the videos!!
