For the longest time, Amber Cochran was "the one that got away" for Brantley Gilbert. The couple dated for five years when they were younger, but it was an off and on relationship. Speaking to E! News, Brantley said that after he made a string of bad decisions, he and Amber broke up for good. Or so he thought at the time.
Five years passed, and over the course of those five years Brantley managed to obtain country stardom, with songs such as "More than Miles" and "You Don't Know Her Like I Do" being inspired by Amber.
Brantley also entered a much-publicized relationship with fellow country star Jana Kramer. The two met at the CMT Music Awards in June 2012, and got engaged in January 2013. But the relationship was short-lived, and they split in August 2013.
Eventually, Brantley and Amber found their way back to one another, and the couple tied the knot in June 2015 during a small ceremony at Brantley's home in Georgia.
Since Brantley cares for Amber so much, he has zero tolerance for anyone who dares to disrespect her. He made this crystal clear during a recent show in New York.
Setting some ground rules for the concert and any questions fans had to ask him, he made sure to ask if there were any children in the crowd. When Brantley learned there was a 9-year-old there, he asked everyone to please be sure to ask appropriate questions with that in mind.
Then, Brantley had some strong words to share with those who had any thoughts about asking questions that could be hurtful to Amber:
"Also, make sure you don't ask anything that would be disrespectful to my wife. If you do, I won't answer it. She's here tonight, and it wouldn't be fair."
Everyone heard Brantley loud and clear. We don't know who in their right mind would dare to disrespect Amber after hearing that speech!
