If anyone deserves a break, it’s Carrie Underwood

In 2016, her wildly popular Storyteller Tour took her to nearly 100 cities across the world, and joined Keith Urban for some Australian stops on his Ripcord Tour late last year. As for what 2017 holds for the star, only one thing is for sure…it’s going to involve a lot of time her her husband and son.

“We just wrapped up the Storyteller Tour and I feel like my life right now, creatively, is kind of a blank space,” Underwood told PEOPLE on the red carpet prior to Sunday’s Grammys. “For a creative mind, though, that’s actually a good space to be in.”

“I’m really excited about that, because you don’t know where you’re going to go,” she added. “I’m nervous because I want whatever I do next to be amazing, so I’m kind of taking a little break right now and being a mom and being a wife and going to see some hockey games to see my husband play.”

The American Idol champ married Nashville Predators captain Mike Fisher in 2010. The couple share a one son, Isaiah, who turns 2 February 27.

While she’s going to enjoy the break, she’s not setting a time limit on the hiatus.

“I’m kind of waiting for lightning to strike and go: ‘Okay, it’s time to get creative and work on new music!'”

The recent collaboration between Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban for ‘The Fighter’ may be one of the last we see from Carrie for awhile. Check out the newly released video for the tune below.
