Carrie Underwood experienced the show of a lifetime when she performed in Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night (October 25). The show was sold out, proving that Underwood's Storyteller tour is still going full steam, even though she kicked it off way back in January.
The hype surrounding Underwood's Storyteller tour has been so big this year that no one has been able to ignore her talents as an entertainer, not even the CMA. For the first time ever, the CMA named Underwood as a nominee for this year's Entertainer of the Year award. If she wins, Underwood will become the 7th female artist to ever receive the award, with previous winners being Dolly Parton and Shania Twain.
Despite the intense level of superstardom she has achieved, Underwood is completely aware of how blessed she is to have such great fans. She made this clear in a video she shared on her Instagram following her Madison Square Garden performance thanking her fans for coming to the show.
Still in her stage costume and makeup, Underwood couldn't wait to show her appreciation to her fans for all of their support. Calling the show a "dream come true," Underwood praised her fans' passion, saying they were, "absolutely insane."
Underwood had to fight back tears as she thanked her fans over and over again. But at the end of the video, she couldn't hold back her emotions any longer, and got choked up as she said her final "thank you":
"Thank you. You guys were beyond anything I could have imagined tonight would be. Amazing. Thank you."
The day following the concert (October 26), Underwood shared a video montage from the concert on her Facebook page. To get an idea of the type of show that Madison Square Garden got to see, check that video out below.
Underwood's tour continues through the rest of the year, but she only has to wait until November 2 to find out if she's 2016's CMA Entertainer of the Year. After shows like the one at Madison Square Garden we think she has a pretty good chance!
