Fans have been dying to know more about this new TV show, and finally we have a lot more information to share!
The man behind ABC's famous hit series, Desperate Housewives, Marc Cherry, has been hand-picked to craft this new series that takes a much darker view of life in the South.
Already scheduled for a pilot in the 2017-2018 season, this new series is a Southern Gothic soap opera, that features a good amount of mystery and star Reba as local Kentucky sheriff Ruby Adair.
The report says that if the series is picked up, the show is set to follow Ruby when her conservative views of the world are challenged while trying to solve a "horrific crime" with an FBI agent who comes from a Middle Eastern family.
“I am thrilled to be coming back home to ABC,” Creator Marc Cherry said. “What makes it all the sweeter is Reba McEntire is coming with me. And we can’t wait to share with our fans this wonderful Southern Gothic soap opera we’ve been cooking up for them.”
The network revealed that Ruby will be introducing her "Southern Gothic community" to this yet-unnamed FBI agent, adding that viewers will meet an "assortment of bizarre characters, each with a secret of their own."
ABC has already given the green light on the project, so they should already be filming the pilot and we can't wait to catch the first episode of this show!
