After their getting engaged in Germany last summer, these two have been pretty tight-lipped on details for their upcoming wedding.
Before the season started Dale Earnhardt Jr. and fiancee Amy Reimann had been working steadily on planning their big day, and they both knew that a lot of the planning was going to fall into Reimann's lap due to Dale Jr.'s racing schedule.
After he initially got sidelined with a serious concussion, things changed in a big way. It was later determined that he wouldn't be racing again for the rest of the season, and he needed to spend a good amount of time with specialists so that his recovery would be done right.
Now that he's nearing the final stages of rehab and recovery, Dale Jr. says that he's all about the wedding details!
In a conference on Wednesday (October 12th) the NASCAR star admitted that he's turned some of his focus to the intricacies of the wedding so that he can save his fiancee´ from some stress.
"We’re definitely not being lazy and pushing everything off until the last minute,” he said. “It feels like it’s right around the corner. We just want it to be a great day. I think that’s the same thing everybody feels: They want everything to go right and not have any mistakes or anything go wrong.”
While he's taking a dedicated interest in the planning and such, Dale reveals that he's not quite interested in much of the process.
“Picking flowers and all that, I don’t need to be into all that,” he confessed. “I went to those meetings anyway, just to be supportive. But it’s pretty boring.”
So far, the pair have revealed that they are planning on having their wedding in the "off season" but haven't announced a firm date yet - but many expect the final details of their exciting big day to be revealed soon!
