Early this week, news broke that a beloved driver had been killed following a horrific accident on the dirt track of a race on Saturday, August 6th.
At just 27-years-old, the death of Bryan Clauson was a devastating blow to everyone in the NASCAR community, and the world surely suffered a terrible loss. Clauson was known for his humility, generosity, and unending kindness to others.
Following the release of details surrounding his death, many icons and stars from NASCAR spoke out about the terrible loss, and sadness that was felt across the entire racing industry.
Now, the Knoxville Raceway is preparing to honor Bryan Clauson in an incredibly beautiful way!
For the upcoming qualifying night on Thursday, the track has arranged for his best friend, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. to pace the field in Clauson's car as a way to honor and celebrate the life that he loved so much.

In addition to this special lap it has been reported that another track, the New Egypt Speedway, has organized a special fundraiser for a cause close to Clauson's heart.
During the upcoming race on Saturday, August 13th, the Speedway has asked its fans to wear green and black (colors that represent the scheme used on many of Clauson's cars during 2016), or a Bryan Clauson t-shirt when they attend the race.
For each person wearing one of those, the Speedway and General Manager will donate $6.30 to the USAC Benevolent Fund in Clauson's name! Additonally, the Speedway will be selling pins, paper fans, and stickers to support the fund as well.
We are glad to hear of these wonderful efforts to remember someone who was taken far too soon!
Our thoughts and prayers are with Clauson's fiancee and family during this very difficult time.
