Two months after his beloved furry friend Jake passed away at the age of 15, Dierks Bentley and his family decided it was time to get a new pup.
Jake was part of Bentley's life since he was a single man. With a wife of 11 years and three children, they were the picture perfect family of 5 with two beloved dogs, Jake and George.
Jake went everywhere with Bentley, even to the Grand Ole Opry stage! On his latest album, Black, Bentley penned an emotional ballad for his best friend of 15 years called "Can't Be Replaced".
Bentley announced his dogs passing with a simple black and white photo of Jake with the caption, "Rest in peace pal".
Apparently George has been super lonely since Jake passed away, so the Bentleys wanted to get him a new friend to play with. They headed to the Nashville Humane Association to adopt a pup and within ten minutes, they found the perfect dog!
Bentley shared a video of his family leaving the Humane Society with their new unnamed dog in tow. He's taking name suggestions, so make sure you comment on his post!
The video shows his wife carrying his younger daughter, Jordan, and his eldest daughter, Evie, carrying the new puppy.
"I love this dog!" Jordan shrieks.
Evie accidentally calls the puppy a boy, when she is a girl and the family reveals they need help choosing a name! Since his other dog is named George, we thought Tammy would be a good name for the new dog, what do you think?
