Ellen Makes Garth Brooks Blush With Questions About Suggestive Title Of Latest Single

Does the title of Garth Brooks‘ new song mean what we think it means?

Brooks appeared on Ellen Friday where he discussed touring with Trisha Yearwood, his new album, and “Baby, Let’s Lay Down and Dance,” the first single off of his soon-to-be-released 8th studio album. The title of the new tune made for some uncomfortable conversation for the country star and the talk show host and Ellen was determined to find out the real meaning behind the tune..

“That’s an awkward way to dance,” DeGeneres said. “You explain to me what ‘lay down and dance’ means. Seriously.”

Garth responded, “I was seriously thinking of snow angels.” The response earned him a stern look from Ellen who wasn’t buying it. “There’s only one thing left then,” Garth shrugged.

Brooks’ response opened the door for Ellen to ask some personal questions that seemed to make the singer slightly uncomfortable. But, in true Garth form, he handled it like a pro. Then again, this wasn’t the first time he was put on the spot during an interview. Click here to watch a 1994 interview that may well rival Ellen’s.
