Country music artist Jana Kramer has had a lot on her plate lately. Between her continued successes on ABC's Dancing With The Stars and adjusting to life as a single mother, it seems the country singer has been stretched a little too thin lately. Due to over-scheduling, the singer has been forced to cancel her concert at Ocean City Performing Arts Center on Saturday, Oct. 8 in favor of DWTS.
“Late Monday afternoon I got the call that Dancing With The Stars was requiring a schedule change," said Ocean City promotor Bob Rothermel. "Late yesterday the agency decided to pull the plug due to unpredicted scheduling conflicts."
Rothermel went on to say that while it's unfortunate television "always wins out" in these types of conflicts. Rothermel was hoping that Kramer's status would have helped the performing arts center broaden its profile on the booking front.
Kramer was set to be joined on stage by singer-songwriter Hunter Phelps who had formerly collaborated with Florida Georgia Line as well as rising artist and former Survivor contestant Baylor Wilson.
“We were seeing great ticket sales. We weren’t going to sell it out, but it was very respectable," Rothermel continues. “Sometimes you swing for the fence, but sometimes you just have to pick up your bat and go home.”
Refunds for tickets purchased for the show are being offered at cost on line as well at point of purchase.
